A very rare Ramcke cap, Luftwaffe officer's version. The insignia are hand-embroidered on a sand-colored background. Features a red lining and the manufacturer's mark: "August Schellenberg Uniformmützen Fabrik - Berlin C2. Alexanderstr.10" 1942. Includes three sand-painted, four-hole sheet-metal buttons and an aluminum chin cord. A rare opportunity to acquire the officer's version of this iconic headgear, associated with the combat actions of German paratroopers and pilots in Africa and Italy. Excellent condition.
