A fine, early-production visor cap featuring characteristics typical of pre-1942 manufacture (brown lining, aluminum insignia, first-pattern Luftwaffe eagle); it belonged to Soldier Wendelken of Jäger-Regiment 'Hermann Göring'a unit veteran, given that the HG regiment was reorganized into a brigade in 1942. Constructed of enlisted-grade wool with white piping, a patent leather chin strap, and a Luftwaffe-style visor featuring a green underside and oilcloth trim. Damaged sweatband. Includes a name tag for H. Wendelken and a Jäger-Regiment HG stamp. Excellent exterior appearance. Good condition. Rare.
