SSK 90 model aviator's steel helmet. Introduced on May 8, 1941, to protect Luftwaffe pilots (worn over the flight helmet), it is constructed of steel plates covered in brown leather and fitted with a four-strap, paratrooper-style chin strap. Fine Siemens manufacturer's label. Size 62. One of the finest examples encountered.
