An extremely rare complete SS Model 41 tropical cap. Features sand-colored cotton, sand-painted zinc eyelets, and a sand-colored cotton lining. Size 56. Woven BeVo insigniaeagle and skull in sand-colored thread on a black backgroundmachine-stitched. This cap bears the stamps "Statni Film" and "722," applied during a 1951 inventory by Barrandov Studios; within the Eastern Bloc, these studios specialized in large-scale war film productions after 1945, utilizing the thousands of authentic uniform itemsincluding extremely rare piecesthat were available in abundance across Warsaw Pact countries in the immediate post-war period. This cap was brought back from the East in the 1980s, along with the rare Wehrmacht Cossack-style fur hat listed under reference GZ038Z. In terms of rarity, this piece is estimated at a ratio of 1 to 1,000 compared to the "Sahariana" jacket from the SS tropical uniform. Shows signs of wear; in "as-found" condition.
