Gyrosextant produced by the famous C.Plath company of Hamburg for the submarines of the Kriegsmarine. Specialist in measuring instruments mainly for the navy, the firm became famous for its trigonometric calculators, compasses for use in surface units, sextants, solar navigation compasses for jet aircraft, bubble octants for air navigation. The series ends with the famous gyrosextant for use by U-boats. The instrument is in very good condition, in its wooden case, with accessories and instructions for use under the lid. The lid requires repair at the back of the hinge, the interior and contents in good condition.
